Summary
In an aggressive ramp up in production, our client required several major welding fixtures to be designed in a very short period of time. CADmech quickly assembled an internal team to support this project and in doing so developed several fixtures in the matter weeks.
The fixtures were required in order to build several major structural assemblies for a transit vehicle including the front frame, mid floor structure and the rear firewall structure.
The key challenges of the project included: Short schedule, interchangeable components, customer specific standards for components and drawings. The project was completed while working directly in the clients Team Center environment while working through a VPN connection.
