Summary
The automotive industry is well known for its fast pace and highly competitive nature. Our client, a leading Tier 1 supplier, approached CADmech with the need to create well-developed engine mounts within the course of a few weeks.
Our Contribution
Using a combination of the physical engine compartment environment, attachment points and loading requirements, CADmech quickly created a concept for each of the three mounting brackets. With feedback from advanced engineering analysis tools the parts were optimized for weight and natural frequency considerations. With CADmech’s support the customer successfully presented three optimized die-cast brackets to GM; all within two weeks of project initiation.
