Summary
The goal: combine the stiffness of a road bike and the aerodynamics of the velodrome with an aesthetic that leaves the competition behind. CADmech proudly supported an industry leading innovator to unleash a game-changing design to deliver on this objective.
Our Contribution
CADmech’s role involved the detailed development of an expanded range of frame sizes (S, L and XL) while fastidiously respecting our client’s design intent. Meticulous attention was devoted to creating the smooth, free flowing surfaces that define the over-all bicycle frame and grant it its emotional impact. The key challenges revolved around balancing several requirements which included: reflection lines, carbon fiber surface quality, aerodynamic design philosophy and ensuring compliance with UCI regulations (Union Cycliste Internationale).
