Summary
Aesthetics are often of paramount importance to the success of a consumer product; the world of home fitness equipment design is no exception to this. CADmech was approached to develop a concept for improving the look, feel and function of an existing range of Pilates equipment. This compact chair concept was developed to meets these goals whilst decreasing production costs and optimizing the product’s weight for home use. Our industrial designers performed market research in developing solutions for the device force generation components as well as a range of options for the product’s upholstery.
