Summary
Supporting a Tier II supplier, CADmech Design developed the front fascia for the GMT900 truck series of vehicle.
The Specifics
Working from the GM studio supplied class-A surface, CADmech created all structural and attachment features for the injection molded part. The front fascia was part of an AG Simpson supplied module to GM and as such system development of the fascia required comprehensive integration with several parts and sub-systems including body, structural bumper and lighting systems. Other key challenges in the project included custom fasteners, frequent OEM design/environment changes and complex surface modeling.
